All business license renewals are due and payable on July 1st of each year and become delinquent on July 31st of each year. All renewing businesses must submit the renewal form, provided by the Finance Department, stating the gross receipts earned the preceding calendar year. The City of West Sacramento requires that every person, firm, corporation, partnership or other business organization occupying real property within the City for business purposes shall obtain a Business License. In addition, similar businesses which are now engaged in business activity within city limits but have no fixed place of business in West Sacramento may be required to obtain a Business License. Licenses are available for businesses that are only selling at 1 to 15 events or are selling at more than 15 events in a calendar year. Event business licenses are based on the number of event days.
The City issues a courtesy notice at the end of the calendar year to remind you that license fees are due.
