An internship provides a student with the opportunity to apply the knowledge he or she has learned in the classroom by participating in a workplace environment related to a chosen career field. The COB Internship Program aims to create value for students as they begin to build a strong professional network and experience real-world business enterprise first-hand. Internships are educational experiences in a professional environment where students experience a chance to integrate the theory with the actual practice of business solutions. Often, a positive internship experience can lead to a post-graduation position.
It aims to enhance students’ professional competencies, business consulting and career-readiness skills. This advanced level course provides students with the opportunity to participate in an industry based capstone experience. This course is aimed at students enrolled in UniSA Business programs. Students will apply the knowledge gained throughout their business studies to an enterprise-focused project, giving an in-depth practical understanding of their area of study in a workplace. The course is intended to be available for undergraduate and postgraduate students, both domestic and international, who wish to take an elective course in their degree program.

This global advisory and business development firm focuses principally on the Middle East, along with interest in Sub-Saharan Africa and Central Asia. The intern will assist in internet-based research and the production of materials, such as a newsletter. Through shadowing, the intern will develop networking skills by meeting with senior business, diplomatic and political contacts. The intern will also develop skills involved in researching and producing newsletters.
In most cases you won’t have to contact the industry partner directly unless you have been explicitly advised otherwise. All correspondence regarding your application will be conducted through the GBS Internships Team. If you are considering a 10CP internship course you must undertake 100 hours of work and for a 20CP course, 200 hours. The work needs to be aligned to your major and significantly different to the work you normally undertake in your role. It’s strongly encouraged that students undertake the BusinessPLUS program prior to undertaking an internship. Students are also welcome to register for the BusinessPlus program if they choose not to participate in an internship.
